Happy Monday y’all! I want to start this week thinking abut how we are investing in ourselves. Yes, it’s wonderful when someone else invests in you, but unfortunately that’s not always how it happens. I know for myself I’ve been blessed enough for my employers to cover some conferences for me, but outside of that… Nada. We can’t sit back and expect others to do it for us, “we are the ones we’ve been waiting for.”

My LadyBoss Perspective

Today, I leave for my retreat with Leadership Fresno which is an investment in myself. I know that leadership is a lifelong commitment and I’m committed to practicing what I preach. Our class is DYNAMITE and I’m so excited to be learning alongside them. We’re headed off for 2 days at Hume Lake, where there is no cell service or wifi… DUN DUN DUNNNNN! I won’t lie, I’m a little nervous about that piece but those nerves tell me I need to put the electronics DOWN.

Now Take it From Some of the Most Influential Women

I wanted to share with you all some of my recommendations for investing in yourself as a leader. Obviously, gotta toot my own horn here (toot toot!) and recommend The Leadership Project. My 8-week intensive leadership course; it’s actionable, fun, synthesizes 10 years of leadership research as I taught myself, and you have LIFETIME ACCESS. Hello, get in already. If you have questions, schedule a 1-on-1 call with me to talk it out. I promise I really only will recommend it if it’s right for you, otherwise we’re both shooting ourselves in the foot.
